Selectmen forming Safety Complex Building Committee

After several years of assessing the needs to the Northwood Police and Fire stations as well as the feasibility of a Public Safety Complex building to house the two entities, the Board of Selectmen would like to move forward with bringing the idea of a Safety Complex to reality. The Selectmen would like to work with a professional architect company to assist them in the work that needs to be accomplished to have a full plan to present to town voters in March 2019. As part of this process, a building committee needs to be formed to help provide input for the potential proposed building.

The selectmen would like to appoint two (2) citizen-at-large members to meet along with a select board member, the police chief, fire chief, emergency management director and town planner.

The Selectmen would like the two citizens at large to not have an affiliation with the police and fire departments in order to incorporate other resident perspectives.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Safety Complex Building Committee please reach out to Town Administrator, Kate Lafond at klafond@northwoodnh.org
