Beaches

Bow Lake and Northwood Lake Beaches

Northwood is known for its beautiful lakes and we are so lucky to have three public beaches to enjoy. Beaches are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day to Northwood Residents only. Recreation Staff will monitor beaches throughout the day to ensure a clean and safe environment for all to enjoy!

Water is tested and monitored by the Health Officer. When elevated levels of E. coli bacteria are present, there will be notices posted at the entrance to the waterfront.  Also, click here to see the NH DES Current Advisories page.

All beaches are “Swim at your own risk” facilities. There are no lifeguards on duty. Please utilize the swim lines when they are there. Children need to be supervised at all times; they are your responsibility. Children under the age of 14 years shall be supervised by a person 18 years of age or older and escorted to/from a porta potty. Flotation devices are allowed with caution and care. Appropriate attire is required.
