About

Northwood, a bucolic town in southeastern New Hampshire, was founded in 1773 when its first settlers successfully petitioned the Governor's Council requesting separation from Nottingham. Since this section of Nottingham had been known as the great north woods, the newly formed town was called Northwood.

Northwood Town Offices are open from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday thru Thursday.

Northwood Vision Community Workshop

All residents, property owners, businesses, employees, and others with an interest in the Town are invited to participate in the Master Plan Subcommittee’s upcoming workshop. Please help us learn about your vision for the future of Northwood!

This workshop is part of the update to the Town’s Master Plan. We are currently gathering information prepare new Vision and Land Use Chapters. Please visit the project website to learn more and stay involved: www.NorthwoodMP.info.
