The Recreation Commission was established in 1995. The purpose of the Commission is to support the establishment and management of the Recreation Department. Support may be accomplished through the acquisition of land and/or facilities for a public recreation and park area and may prepare, equip, and maintain the land and/or facilities for recreational purposes. The Commission also assists in establishing reasonable fees; and conducts and promotes leisure-time activities to the community.

 

The Commission consists of 7 members who are appointed by the Board of Selectmen and are committed to serving a 3 year term.

If you think you might be interested in joining the Recreation Commission, please contact Rec Director Scott Blewitt at (603) 942-5586 ext. 2011 or attend one of our Commission meetings. They're held the first Tuesday of every month @6:00 pm at the Center School next to Town Hall.  The Recreation Commission is responsible for all of the wonderful community events in town like Trunk or Treat, the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Easter Egg Hunt, to name a few. These events can't happen without volunteer work of the Recreation Commission! Please consider joining!
