Northwood Adopt-A-Spot Program

Northwood Parks & Recreation Department

Adopt-A-Spot Program gives citizens, non-profits, businesses, and other organizations the opportunity to show pride in our community.

Enhance the environment and beautify Northwood beaches, parks and roadsides!

This program offers groups a project that gives its members the satisfaction of making a contribution to their community. At the same time, it generates publicity for the group’s service activities.

Adopt-a-Spot volunteers will spruce up designated areas throughout the town by removing litter and debris, controlling weeds, planting trees and other plants, mulching, and identifying and eliminating hazards.

For more information on where to adopt and how to apply please contact Scott Blewitt, Recreation Director at sblewitt@northwoodnh.org

Get out into the fresh air and learn the ancient art of shooting an arrow while you feel the wind at your back. Archery is a sport that's been around for thousands of years. So be like a Knight of the old and learn the hand eye coordination of pulling a string back and hitting different targets, such as a rope, balloons and much more. And learn how the Bow and Arrow functions, still very much the same over the thousands of years. And like the knight of the old, honor, respect and kindness are expected while on the archery range. Form and safety will be emphasized.

All equipment is provided. Any personal equipment must be pre approved by the coach for safety reasons. Equipment sales is offered. Your instructor Lucy Morris is a USA Level 4 NTS Archery Coach, Health & Performance Coach, http://www.TheFlyingArcher.com www,nearchery.com
