About

The Northwood Police Commission was created by ballot vote at the March, 1986 Town Meeting, following a recommendation of the Police Advisory Committee. Police Commissioners are elected to a three year term, with one term expiring each March.

The Commission meets monthly on the third Tuesday at 5:00 PM at the Northwood Town Hall. The Commission’s agenda includes time for public input, the review of the general business of the Police Department, the Police Chief’s report, budget review and correspondence. The Chief’s report includes a summary of calls for service, arrests, motor vehicle accidents and summons issued during the previous month. All meetings are open to the public to attend.

Public Meeting Schedule

The Northwood Police Commission meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:00 PM at the Northwood Town Hall, 818 First NH Turnpike. All meetings are open to the public.

If you would like to be on the agenda to speak with the Commission regarding a specific matter, please contact  Police Commission Administrator Linda Smith at 942-5586 x2005 or by email at lsmith@northwoodnh.org no later than Wednesday of the week prior to a meeting.

There is also time on the agenda for public input that is not previously scheduled; however, the time is limited to five minutes and must be of a general nature.
