Transfer Station Supervisor
The Town of Northwood, NH is accepting applications for the position of Transfer Station Supervisor. This is a part-time position working approximately 29 hours per week. Wage range is $12.74 - $19.78 per hour, Grade 7 depending on qualifications.
Under the general supervision of the Road Foreman/Laborer I, the Transfer Station Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and organizing trash and recycling collection areas, monitoring burn pit for adherence to State regulations, manual labor associated with transfer station activities and upkeep, payment processing. Coordinates the separation and placement of materials in appropriate receptacles and/or areas by users of the facility. Ensures users of the facility have proper permits and have paid appropriate fees when required. Operates equipment, as needed, in daily waste
management activities. Contacts contracted vendors for disposal services as required. Monitors expenses and ensures proper maintenance of equipment, provide account management, weekly reports. Compiles periodic use reports including filing of all appropriate DES and related regulatory reports.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, current State of NH Solid Waste Facility Operator Certificate is preferred. Good customer service skills and the ability to work well with other departments and town officials, basic computer skills, ability to lift and carry heavy items. Position: Summer Intern
Schedule: Part-Time, flexible, up to 22 hours per week
The Chesley Memorial Library is hiring a part-time summer intern. The Library Summer Intern participates in the daily operations of the library, including circulation, reference, technical processing, program development, cataloging, and assisting patrons. Duties will also include assisting with the support of library technologies, systems, and services. Previous library experience preferred; OR any equivalent combination of education and expertise which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
