The Northwood Conservation Commission was established by the Town's voters in 1971. Per NH RSA 36-A:2, the purpose of the Commission is to ensure "the proper utilization and protection of the natural resources and...the protection of watershed resources...of the town." To acomplish these goals, the Conseravtion Commission shall:
voted in 1977 to establish a Northwood Conservation Fund under the
provisions of RSA 36-A, to receive monies given to the Town for
conservation purposes and the residues of each succeeding year’s
Conservation Commission budgetary allowances.
