Town Administrator

The Town of Northwood is a growing community that currently has an approximate population of 4,200 with an annual municipal budget of approximately $3,000,000. Route 4, the main thoroughfare between Concord and Portsmouth, runs through the town and sees on average 13,000 commuters every day. In the heart of Antique Alley and home to Northwood Meadows State Park as well as four water bodies with many seasonal properties, the town is much more than a bedroom community.

 

The Town of Northwood, NH is accepting applications for the position of Town Administrator. Under the direction of the Board of Selectmen, the Town Administrator is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the town and providing a wide range of support to the Board.

 

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in management/public administration or related field and five years of experience in municipal government. Master’s degree and municipal management experience is preferred. In addition, the successful candidate should possess a demonstrated ability to work effectively with other town departments, town and state officials, and the general public. Candidates must communicate well and possess the ability to plan, organize, and lead.

 

This is a full-time exempt salary position. The annual salary range is $47,605 – $72,007, depending on qualifications and experience. Northwood offers a full benefits package including NH Retirement.
