Northwood, a bucolic town in southeastern New Hampshire, was founded in 1773 when its first settlers successfully petitioned the Governor's Council requesting separation from Nottingham. Since this section of Nottingham had been known as the great north woods, the newly formed town was called Northwood.
Northwood Town Offices are open from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday thru Thursday.

History
The Northwood Emergency Food Pantry will be moving as of May 10, 2017. The new location will be next door at St. Joseph's Parish Center, 844 1st NH Turnpike, Northwood. This is the same location the Town uses for voting. The hours and days of distribution will remain the same. First Saturday of each month from 9:30 - 11:00. The Second Monday of each month from 2:00 - 2:30 and the Last Wednesday of each month from 9:00 - 10:30.
