Minutes of 5/04/09

Attendance: Jim Vaillancourt, Steve Preston, Doug Chamberlain,  Margaret Walker
 
Call to order 7:00pm. Meeting held outside of the Town Hall as doors were locked and attendees did not have access keys.

Farmer's Market 6/4/09. Lucy Edwards has volunteered to represent Recycling Committee.

Jim will write to the Selectmen to request clarification regarding Selectman liaison role to the committee and the number of members allowed on the committee.

Transfer station brochure:  The 10/07 version was reviewed and discussed. The brochure will be updated and will include the current Selectmen signatures.

Newsletter: Jim will add the Freecycle date of June 20, 2009 and related details regarding the Freecycle concept of recycling usable tools and equipment. Steve will clean the shed for storage at the facility for Freecycle storage.

Steve reported the need to replace the 40 yard octagon container.  He states the container is rusted and in need of considerable repair after 26 years of use. Steve states it will cost $2400-3500 to fix and $6600 for a replacement container.

Next meeting: To be determined. Steve requests a different day.

Meeting adjourned at 7:33pm Motion/ MW, 2nd DC, unanimous. Black flies were numerous.
