Minutes of March 3, 2009

Present were Lucy Edwards, Ken Curley, Renee Camille and Pat Adams. Gary Garnett and Donna Bunker were excused.

Meeting was called to order at 6:05 pm by Chairperson Lucy Edwards.
The minutes of the 02/03/09 meeting were approved.

REPORTS
LRPA – Mr. Curley said he attended the February 23rd meeting. The budget status was discussed. It was decided that a boilerplate annual renewal contract will be created for participating towns. At the end of the meeting Mr. Curley brought up the possibility of allowing alternates for board members. He was told the current policy does not allow for alternates but the Board did agree that the policy should be updated.

Board of Selectmen liaison – Selectman Curley reported that the Selectmen did approve the appointment of Renee Camille as alternate to the LRPA Board representative at the Feb 10th meeting.  At the subsequent LRPA Board meeting Mr. Curley learned there were no provisions in the policies for alternates. Mrs. Camille would not be able to assist as an alternate until the LRPA policies were changed.

Cable Coordinator Report
Mr. Garnett was not present. 

OLD BUSINESS
Video Workshop – The next video workshop is scheduled for Tuesday April 21st at the Chesley Memorial Library.

Cable Contract renewal subcommittee – It was restated that the committee will advise the Selectmen to appoint a cable contract renewal subcommittee after Town Meeting.

NEW BUSINESS
Town Meeting – The committee discussed setting up a table at Town Meeting. Mr. Curley said he would find out who to contact to get a table for the committee.

The meeting adjourned at 6:40 pm. The next scheduled meeting is on Tuesday April 7th , 2009 at 6 pm at the Town Hall.
