Chairman Steve Roy calls the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.

Present: Chairman Steve Roy, Vice Chairman Steve Hampl, Jim Ryan, Alternate Pauline Lemelin, Wini Young, Board Administrator Linda Smith; property owners Emily and Sarah Low. 

Absent: Paul Lussier, Loren O’Neil, and Mike Matson. 

Mr. Roy reads the press release and public hearing notice. The Northwood Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing per RSA 36-A:5 II on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 6:15 p.m. at the Northwood Town Hall. The purpose of this hearing will be to receive public comment relative to the expenditure of funds for the purchase of 69.972 Ac. located on First NH Tpke. (Map 221; Lot 40) from the Northwood Conservation Commission Land Fund. The purpose of the land acquisition is to protect valuable conservation areas and water resources. Mr. Roy opens the public hearing for comments. With no public present and no public input, the hearing is closed.

Steve Roy makes a motion to appropriate $104,958.00 from the Northwood Conservation Land Fund established pursuant to RSA 36:A4 to purchase Map 221; Lot 40-1 from Sarah and Emily Low; purchase conditional upon final signature on the approved Northwood Planning Board plan. Jim Ryan seconds the motion. Mr. Roy takes this opportunity to thank all parties involved with this project.

Recess
Steve Roy makes a motion, second by Jim Ryan, to adjourn. Mr. Roy and Mr. Ryan retract their motion and second. Steve Roy makes a motion to recess the meeting to meet with the selectmen. Second by Jim Ryan. Motion passes; 5/0 at 6:22.

Steve Roy makes a motion to reconvene at 7:18. Motion is seconded by Steve Hampl and passes unanimously; 5/0.Mr. Roy explains that the conservation commission recessed in order to attend the board of selectmen meeting this evening. He states that the selectmen accepted the Low property as town property.

Jim Ryan makes a motion, second by Steve Hampl, to adjourn at 7:22 p.m.
