Minutes of August 5, 2008

Present were members Lucy Edwards, Pat Adams and Donna Bunker and Selectmen liaison Ken Curley. Cable coordinator Gary Garnett was excused.

Meeting was called to order at 6:20 pm by Chairperson Lucy Edwards.
Due to scheduling conflicts the July 1st meeting was cancelled.
The minutes of the 6/3/08 meeting were approved.

LRPA – Ken Curley said at the beginning of July he was informed by email that the Chair and Treasurer of LRPA had resigned. He was unable to attend but through reading the minutes a new Chair and Treasurer were elected at the July 14th meeting. He will be attending the August 11th meeting and will report back.

Board of Selectmen Liaison Report – Ken Curley said no issues regarding Northwood cable subscribers came before the Board of Selectmen.

Cable Coordinator Report
Training – This will be reviewed at our next meeting.

Installation of Equipment (Town Hall) – Ken Curley reported that he had reviewed the installation with Gary last week. The three remote cameras are mounted and work on the system cabinet is progressing. The system should be operational in September.

CBNA – This will be reviewed at our next meeting.

Video Workshop – The video workshop will be held on August 16th 1-3pm at the Chesley Library. Donna Bunker stated the event is being co-sponsored by the Recreation Commission and has been include in their advertised schedule of events for August. The best place to advertise is in the Suncook Sun.

Upcoming Events to tape -
Lucy Edwards stated there will be another Northwood Farmer’s Market this Thursday August 7th at the parking lot across from the Chesley Library 3 to 6:30pm. Gary is currently producing a show about the Farmer’s Market in Northwood and surrounding towns.

Donna Bunker said that Mr. Phil and Company will be performing at the Summer Reading Program Finale on August 13th at the Chesley Library. She will contact him to get consent for videotaping it.

Other:
Cable Contract Renewal – Ken Curley said the current cable contract will expire on Dec. 31 2009.  Thought should be given to forming a contract negotiations committee after Town Meeting next year. He will try to get a signed copy of the contract from Town Hall for the committee to review.

The next scheduled meeting is on Tuesday September 2nd at 6 pm at the Town Hall.
