Minutes of May 6, 2008

Present were members Lucy Edwards, Pat Adams and Donna Bunker.  Ken Curley was unable to attend. Cable coordinator Gary Garnett was also in attendance.

The minutes of the 4/1/08 meeting were approved with one correction. In the paragraph about the DVD cases the word "They" should be added before "would be quicker to procure..."

Cable Coordinator Report

Training – Gary reported he had planned on training the Northwood School’s technology director on using the video taping system by having him assist during school board meetings.  This did not occur this month since one school board meeting was cancelled and the director was unable to attend the other.

Recruiting - Gary said he was contacted by two people who were interested in helping taping meetings and events. He will follow up with them.

Installation of Equipment (Town Hall) - Gary planned to move the new cabinet to the town hall soon, and install the equipment.

CBNA - Gary was waiting to hear back from the teacher who runs the video club at Coe Brown, and was also planning to schedule a meeting with the headmaster to see what might be good projects to collaborate on.

Northwood Baseball - Gary taped the opening day of baseball season, which included a rainy day parade and the introduction of the teams.

Library DVD Cases - Gary delivered the heavy duty DVD cases to Donna for the library.

Video News Show - Donna noted that she had just seen an article on The Forum that Rebecca Rule and several other people were producing a video news show.  Gary will check it out in hopes that we can air it on our public access channel.

The next meeting will be June 3rd at 6 pm at the Town Hall.
