Minutes of February 5, 2008

Present was member Donna Bunker, Chair Lucy Edwards, Selectmen Liaison Ken Curley and Coordinator Gary Garnett. Pete Jones and Pat Adams could not attend.

At 7pm. there was no quorum; Mr. Curley had indicated he would be late due to a Selectmen work session. The meeting was called to order at 7:49 p.m. at Town Hall by Chairperson Edwards.

The committee approved the 12/04/07 minutes.

Reports
Lakes Region Public Access
Mr. Curley said he did not attend the Board of Directors meeting due to a Budget work session and that he would be attending the February 27th meeting.

BOS Liaison Report
Mr. Curley informed the committee that Metrocast Cablevision has paid to the Town $28,000 in subscriber fees for 2007. A warrant article to place this amount of money into the Cable Expendable Trust Fund will be voted on at Town Meeting.

Cable Coordinator Report:

Town Hall System
Mr. Garnett said he is in the process of finishing the equipment cabinet. It will be on casters and secured to the wall with a hinge so that it can be rolled forward to access the rear panel.

School System
Mr. Garnett has been doing some clean-up of the system. He needs to install s-video cables to provide a sharper picture during wide angle shots.

Coe Brown Northwood Academy
Mr. Garnett spoke with Ms. Young about taping musicians at Lake Shore Farms. She will be sending him a schedule.

Business Cards
Mr. Garnett handed out the new business cards.


New Business
Library DVD Cases
Ms. Bunker asked if Mr. Garnett could purchase DVD cases for the DVDs that are kept at the library. The DVDs need heavy duty cases to be able to take the wear and tear of being loaned out.  She has run out of cases and doesn’t have the money in her budget to buy new ones. Mr. Garnett said he will submit a purchase order if she will provide the name and details of where she buys them. Ms. Bunker said she will email him a link to the website of the company.

2007 Expenditures
Mr. Curley asked Mr. Garnett to put together a list of all equipment bought in the last year using money from the Cable Expendable Trust Fund. It was requested by a citizen at last year’s Town Meeting. Mr. Garnett said he will get together with the Town Finance Director to put together the list.
 
Upcoming events to tape: 
                    School District Meeting at Northwood School on March 8th
                    Town Meeting at Coe Brown Northwood Academy on March 15th
 
The next meeting is scheduled to be held at Town Hall on Tuesday, March 4th, at 6 pm.

The meeting adjourned at 8:27 p.m.

Minutes approved March 4, 2008.
