Present were members Pete Jones, Chair Lucy Edwards, BOS Liaison Ken Curley and Coordinator Gary Garnett. Donna Bunker and Pat Adams could not attend.

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. at Town Hall by Chairperson Edwards.
The committee made corrections to and approved the 09/06/07 minutes as corrected.

REPORTS
LRPA - Mr. Curley said he had attended two LRPA meetings, where moving the studio out of Laconia High School was discussed. The LRPA board is collecting more information about the options available. Mr. Curley also relayed that LRPA will have a website within the next week.

BOS Liaison Report – Mr. Curley said the proposal for the Town Hall video system was approved by the Board of Selectmen at their September 11th meeting. The Bulletin Board Policy was submitted to the Town Administrator for consideration by the BOS at their Oct. 9th meeting.

Cable Coordinator Report:

School System
Using a portable DVD player, Mr. Garnett showed the committee members a recording of a recent School Board meeting produced with the new video system. He pointed out how the multiple angle shots and the fades from one camera to the next gave the recording a more professional look.

Date Overlay
Mr. Garnett said he has a way to create an overlay for the date so that it will appear when broadcasted. He didn’t get a chance to try it at the last meeting but will try it with the next meeting tape.

Coe Brown Northwood Academy
Mr. Garnett said he was unable to contact Winifred Young since the last meeting.

Business Cards
Mr. Garnett said he is in the process of designing a business card.

Media Recorder Repair
The school systems media recorder is at the JVC repair depot in New Jersey. JVC does not accept purchase orders for repair work, only credit cards.  Mr. Garnett said he is still in the process of resolving how to pay for the estimate and the repair of the recorder.

New Business
Upcoming events to tape:  Oct. 16th Selectmen’s work session  & School Board meetings

The next meeting will be held at the Town Hall on Thursday, Nov 1st, at 7 p.m.

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
