Minutes of September 6, 2007

Present were members Pat Adams, Chair Lucy Edwards, BOS Liaison Ken Curley and Coordinator Gary Garnett.

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. at Town Hall by Chairperson Edwards.
The committee voted to approve the 08/02/07 minutes.

REPORTS
LRPA - Mr. Curley said he was not able to attend the last LRPA meeting, but will report back after their next meeting.

BOS Liaison Report – Mr. Curley said in regards to the request by Town Road Agent Jim Wilson to have Mr. Garnett tape the Bennett Bridge construction project. That he will give Mr. Wilson his telephone number to contact him when he is needed.  The proposal for the Town Hall video system has been placed on the agenda for the next meeting of the Board of Selectmen.

Cable Coordinator Report:

School System
Mr. Garnett said the school video system is installed and he will be taping the first school board meeting on the 17th.  He gave a status on the broken DVD recorder saying that it had been sent to JVC for repair.

Training
He also informed the committee that there were training classes on the NuTech system which he would like to attend.  Mr. Curley asked Mr.Garnett  to get the information to him so that he can bring it to the BOS.

Date Overlay
Mr. Garnett said he may have a way to create an overlay for the date so that it will appear when broadcasted. He will try it with the next meeting tape.

Coe Brown Northwood Academy
Mr. Garnett said he would like to branch out and start taping events at the high school.  Using students that need community service hours to help in taping and production.  Ms. Edwards asked if he needed a contact at CBNA, Mr. Garnett said he already had one, Winifred Young. The committee said he should contact her.

Business Cards
Mr. Garnett discussed handing out business cards, to make it easier for people to contact him  when scheduling an event, or if the systems have problems.  Ms. Edwards asked that he make a draft and bring it to the next meeting.

Old Business

The edited Town of Northwood Cable TV Bulletin Board Policy was discussed.  Corrections were made: under section 7E. “Teen Center events” was changed to “Teen events” and Section 10 was removed.  The Committee agreed to submit the policy to the Board of Selectmen.
 
The next meeting will be held at Town Hall on Thursday, Oct. 4th, at 7 p.m.

The meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
