Photos from the library's first annual Edible Book Festival are up in the Photo Gallery !  Take a look and see pictures of all the wonderful entries we received!  The titles of the entries are all listed, as are the winning entries in each of the three categories.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with event, submitted an entry, and everyone who stopped by!  With your help our Edible Book Festival turned into a huge success!

This year's event drew over 25 applicants with entries made out of materials from chocolate to mushroom caps.  Several organizations contributed entries, including the Girl Scouts and Pizza Spinners in Lee.  Three winners in each of the categories (adult, youth, and businesses & organizations) took home a fork trophy.

This event turned into a huge success, receiving notice from such papers as the Boston Globe, that we have decided to turn it into an annual event!  Plans are already in the works for next year's festival, which will take place on April 5, 2008.  We are hoping for an even bigger turnout, and to receive entries from all the different town departments!

Special thanks go to the Northwood Masonic Organization, who kindly lent us the use of their hall for this event, as well as to the volunteers who helped during the event, and during clean-up afterward!

Keep an eye on the Library News for more updates on next year's festival!  We hope to see you there!
