On April fifth, the Northwood Planning Board, including newly elected members Nikki Roy and Pete Jones, met for a work session. The election of board officers was held and Eric Reitter was re-elected Chair while Bob Jozokos was re-elected Vice-Chair. The Board discussed filling two vacant positions: one full board position and one alternate position. Requests for letters of interest regarding both positions will be posted in local newspapers and publicly posted.

The Board further discussed issues to be addressed this year including discussions with the ongoing Design Review subcommittee, touching base with the ongoing Water Resources subcommittee, reformatting and editing the Ordinances as approved at this year’s ballot vote, annual review of the Site Plan and Subdivision regulations, and the update of the Capital Improvements Plan.

With the approval of the Board of Selectman given at their December 11th meeting, the Planning Board also updated the Technical Review Committee procedures that will come under the supervision of the Town Planner. The up-date will streamline the application process for site plans and subdivisions to include a wider array of input from Town Departments including Building, Highway, Fire, and Police. The Board also agreed to re-read the Master Plan as an annual refresher.
