You are cordially invited to Norhtwood's First Annual Edible Book Festival!

The Chesley Memorial Library is sponsoring this free festival on Saturday, March 31, from 10:00 - 1:00, at the Northwood Masonic Hall.

Just what is an Edible Book Festival?  Read on to find out!

What is an Edible Book Festival?

On the first of April each year cities around the world participate in the International Edible Book Festival.  Festivals are held in many countries including Brazil, Germany, Japan, and Russia.  Entries are displayed in edible form, often using wit such as 20,000 Leeks Under the Sea, Spamlet, Don Quicheote, Booklava, and Frank and Stein.  Edible books may include anything from a scene or character from a book, book covers, or book structures.  As long as the entry is made from food items, there is no limit!

Register today!

All registrations must be received by March 26.  Space is limited and will be allotted on a "first come, first serve basis."  To register, please stop by the library and pick up a registration form.  You may contact Danielle Fortin or Sarah Hebert with any questions at 942-5472 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
