"Hurricane Katrina: The Aftermath" will be
presented at the Chesley Memorial Library on Tuesday, February 20, at 7:00
p.m. Anyone interested in the
continuing saga of the effects of Hurricane Katrina on the City of New Orleans and the
surrounding area should plan to attend.
Doug Chamberlin, Friend of the Chesley
Memorial Library, made two trips to New
Orleans, most recently January 20-27, 2007. He will share his perspective on the impact
of the storm. It has been a year and a
half, but those who think the work has been completed will see a
different picture. Some have returned, many to tiny FEMA
trailers outside their homes, but there are thousands and thousands of
homes that are still unlivable. Come get
a first-hand perspective of what has been done and the tremendous amount of
work left that needs to be done.
The question "Can I help, even in some small way?" will be
answered. |
