Old Business: Ken Curley and Gary Garnett met with the school board. The video equipment will be placed in the library according to original plans. Ken Curley sent an email to Tammie Beaulieu requesting a public hearing to purchase the equipment needed for taping school board meetings at Northwood School. New Business: Gary Garnett updated the committee regarding his work schedule. He taped the Haunted Halloween Trail at Coe-Brown on October 29. He taped “The Dollars & Sense of Saving Special Places” presentation at the town hall on November 1. He started to film historical sites with Joann Bailey on November 7. He attended a Planning Board meeting on November 7 to instruct members on how to use the PA system. He attended the Northwood Community Resources Committee meeting on November 9 to discuss video production ideas. He taped the Local Government Night program at the library on November 15. Donna Bunker shared an email that she received via the library’s town web site email asking if there were any plans to wire Winding Hill Road for cable access. Ken Curley will check with Steve Murdough. Donna will respond to the email and let the individual concerned that he or she can contact Ken Curley for further information. Ken Curley and Gary Garnett expressed the need for an additional camera to be added to the proposal submitted to the selectmen. Donna Bunker moved to change the proposal to include the camera, Pat Adams seconded the motion, and the committee voted unanimously in favor of the motion. Gary Garnett will provide information regarding the camera to be purchased. Lucy Edwards joined the meeting in progress. Lucy requested that Ken Curley send the budget proposal to her and to Tammie Beaulieu so they would have the information to present to the Board of Selectmen prior to their next meeting. Tammie Beaulieu joined the meeting in progress. She explained to the committee that there does not need to be a public hearing to purchase the video equipment needed for the school. Ken Curley will attend the Board of Selectmen’s meeting on November 22 to request the funds. Unfinished Business: Tammie Beaulieu joined the meeting in progress. Metrocast provided training on the new bulletin board system at the town hall today. Tammie had questions about the multi-user license. Ken Curley explained that it was his understanding that the multi-user license would allow multiple users access to the bulletin board system via a password but the users would only have access to their particular section. This issue needs to be clarified with Metrocast. The Board of selectmen will need to develop a policy regarding the multi-user licenses and will need to approve the list of users. Gary Garnett is willing to donate a used Windows 98 computer that will work for accessing the bulletin board system. The next meeting will be held at the Chesley Memorial Library on Thursday, January 19, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
