Minutes of July 7, 2009

The following members were present:  Ken and Renee Camille and Lucy Edwards. Gary Garnett, cable coordinator was also present.

The minutes of the May meeting were approved.  There was no meeting in June.

Gary Garnett explained how he was working on the presentation for our table at the Farmers Market on Aug. 13.  He is thinking of making a video combining the different ones we have done, interspersed with the video of the farmers market he did last year.  We can either run it off a car, or maybe have extra batteries for a portable DVD player or bring a couple of them.

Gary is still working with Steve Robert at the school to get him trained to tape the school board meetings.

Gary plans to meet with Ed Burtt, the founder of Northwood Meadows State Park, on July 10 to tape while they explore the park and Ed describes the history and features of the park.  Then Gary will come to the Discovery Day event on the 11th to tape the celebration.

Renee filled us in about her meeting with Denise Beauchaine at LRPA. She came back with a lot of information for a brochure, and was very impressed with Denise's knowledge and skill.  Among other things she found out that LRPA will help someone develop a show if they have an idea but don't know how to present it.

We also brainstormed a bit about who Renee could interview with Gary taping in order to produce a series of interviews of long-time Northwood residents. We are looking for other ideas as well.  As Gary gets the taping processes for the town and school board meetings automated, this will free up his time to do more production work.

The next meeting will be Aug. 4, when we will finalize our plans for the farmers market presentation.

Respectfully submitted,
Lucy Edwards
