The Northwood Recreation Department provides safe, fun, and cost effective activities for the residents of the Town of Northwood. The goal of the Department in providing these activities is to bring the community together and offer healthy programs for all ages. The Recreation Commission meets once each month and is open to the public. The commission is currently in need of active members as well. Also, if you are interested in volunteering for a specific activity, coaching a team, or sharing one of your skills with the community, we would love to have you on board. Registration is required in advance for all programs, unless otherwise noted. Registration Forms can be downloaded from the Documents and Forms section or can be obtained at the Town Hall. Please return all registration information to the Recreation Department. You will find registration forms and other Recreation Department documents in the Documents and Forms section of the web site. Program Cancellation GuidelinesIf the Town of Northwood’s school system is closed then all of the programs for the day are canceled. Assume that there is no make up day unless otherwise noted on prior program postings. If the program is scheduled for a day when school is normally not in session, then program cancellations will be communicated through WMUR and WOKQ. Beach PassesThe Northwood Transfer Station sticker is also the Beach Pass. These may be obtained at the Town Clerk's office. Out of town residents interested in using the Northwood town beaches may purchase passes for Northwood Lake at the Town Hall for $50.00. These passes are good for the whole season.
