The Town of Northwood, New Hampshire

The Land Use Department is actively involved in all matters relating to land use, development, and preservation.

The services and programs that the Land Use Department oversees include planning, zoning, and conservation. The Department administers the Planning Board’s subdivision and site plan regulations and review process and it works with Northwood residents and the business and development community seeking approval for various development plans that are presented to the Planning Board. In conjunction with the Planning Board and other Town departments and boards, the Land Use Department develops the Master Plan for the community. The Master Plan is the Town’s plan and vision for the future development and growth of the Town. The Department processes applications to the Zoning Board of Adjustment and assists residents and others with questions relative to zoning. Department staff work with and serve as administrative support for the Conservation Commission.
